A powerful reinterpretation of the classical torso form, ‘Fallen Angel’ was worked on for several years, as a result of the development of new techniques and the combination of different styles. A vibrant and urban relic adorned with bright bold colour reminiscent of graffiti art, the sculpture was created in 3D by Dan Lane. The torso and the wings are sculptural and textured, highlighting Lane’s mastery and contemporary energy.

The highly popular works have a contemporary, urban edge, but as an artist, Dan is hugely influenced by the creations of the Renaissance and it’s the fusion of the two different styles that makes the artworks so special. Constantly constructing concepts as physical creations, Lane’s development and experimentation methods coupled with his ability to blend thematic elements, results in work that is simultaneously stylistically distinct and ever evolving.
