Using a luminous palette and layered brushwork, Gill paints with beautifully saturated shades of blue to create reflections and distortions that are both photorealistic and atmospheric. Capturing an intimate close-up of fashion and film icon Audrey Hepburn in a sunlit blue pool, Gill encourages us to consider the star through a lens of vulnerability, liberation and quiet intensity. In a poetic exploration of emotion and identity, Gill uses water as a metaphor for the subconscious, transformation, and the essence of life itself. Each painting is a meditation on presence, intimacy, and the fleeting beauty of human experience.

One of James Francis Gill’s most intimate and expressive series and part of a body of work dating back to the 1960s, Women in Water sees Gill present a series of female figures in a suspended, almost timeless state. Poised at the edge of movement, immersed in water, Gill captures the women between air and depth, hesitation and courage – each composition an encounter. These moments are charged with both physical vitality and emotional resonance. The leap into the water symbolizes transformation, rebirth, and the intensity of fleeting experiences. Gill distils this ephemeral feeling into a visual language that is at once personal, poetic, and universal.

This rest immediately bounces back to its original shape. It's true memory foam! It's so comfortable that I forget it's there yet I enjoy the comfort immensely. Comfortable and functional, but beware of cardboard/mdf insert

I’ve been using this wrist rest for a bit now, and for the most part, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It provides a comfortable amount of support for my wrists during long typing sessions, and the cooling gel aspect is definitely a nice touch that adds to the overall comfort. That said, there are a couple of drawbacks to keep in mind. The surface seems to attract dirt and grime pretty quickly, so you’ll need to wipe it down often to keep it looking clean. More importantly, the build quality of the base is disappointing. I believe its a cardboard inserted into the bottom, which snapped very easily when I was just barely bending it while cleaning it. It’s a shame because the rest of the product is great, but I really wish they had used a more rigid, durable material for the bottom instead of whatever this cardboard/mdf is. This is why I’m giving it 4 stars.
