artist biography
Karl-Einar Andersson was born on December 18, 1925 in Norra Mellby, Skåne. He was a Swedish painter.

Andersson began painting and drawing in 1940. He studied at Skåne Painting School (1942–1944), Otte Sköld’s Painting School in Stockholm (1944–1945), and the Konsthögskola (Royal Academy of Fine Arts) in Stockholm (1945–1950), except in 1947 when he studied at the Konstakademien (Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts) in Copenhagen. Among his teachers were Ragnar Sandberg and Wilhelm Lundström.

He first exhibited in Hässleholm in 1948 together with Torsten Andersson and also participated in the Nationalmuseum’s Unga tecknare exhibitions (1946–1948). Study trips took him to Norway (1947), France and Italy (1948, 1950, 1954, 1961), and Spain (1951, 1953). From 1959 to 1962 he worked as an assistant to Pär Siegård.

Solo exhibitions include Galleri Samlaren, Stockholm (1952); Krognoshuset, Lund (1954); Borås Art Gallery (1954); SDS-hallen, Malmö (1956, 1962); Lilla Konstsalongen, Malmö (1957); Galerie Moderne, Malmö (1958); Höganäs Museum (1963); and Galerie Leger, Malmö (1965). He also exhibited at Lunds Konsthall, Borås Konsthall, Göteborgs Konsthall, Landskrona Konsthall, and Norrköpings Museum, among others.

Andersson created a number of public works, including stained glass windows at Herrevad Abbey, Hässleholm’s new church, and the crematorium in Oskarshamn. He also produced concrete reliefs in Malmö, wrought iron works for private houses in Lidingö, and a stained-glass window for the Norra Mellby grave chapel in collaboration with Ralph Bergholtz.

He received several scholarships, including those from the Åke Wiberg Foundation (1957), Ellen Trotzig Foundation (1957), Ulrika Rosenkrantz Foundation (1958), Skåne Art Association (1962), and the Edstrand Foundation (1964).

Andersson is represented in the collections of Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Malmö Museum, Skissernas Museum in Lund, Norrköping Art Museum, Helsingborg Museum, and the city of Lund, as well as National Museum in Stockholm.

Andersson passed away on July 7, 1975 at the age of 49.

Ideal para espacios pequeños y con estilo
Color: Black, Size: 6 Panel, Color: Black, Size: 6 Panel

Very simple to put up. No assembly required. Just take it out the box and you're done! Also I thought it would be heavy. Very light and easy to move😊
