Павло Архипович Загребельний (1924–2009) — український письменник, Герой України, лавреат Шевченківської премії. Після поранення та концтабору служив при британській місії в Німеччині, після чого був затриманий і перебував у радянському фільтраційному таборі. Працював головним редактором 'Літературної газети'. З правління Спілки письменників України його усунули через доноси. 

'Первоміст' — третій роман класика про Київську Русь, коли за наказом Володимира Мономаха збудували міст через Дніпро. Події твору розгортаються навколо нього і людей, які міст стерегли та доглядали. 'Євпраксія' — четвертий історичний роман автора з часів Київської Русі, що розповідає про трагічну долю княжни Євпраксії Всеволодівни, яка зуміла позбавити престолу могутнього німецького імператора. Події в творі відбуваються на межі XI–XII століть.
