The newly developed boxer engine is the largest ever produced by Motorrad, with a displacement of 1801 cc, delivering a maximum power of 67 kW (91 PS) and a torque of 158 Nm. The R18 Classic is based on the R18 and has been specially designed for touring. The front wheel diameter has been increased from 19 inches to 16 inches

- The boxer engine is made up of pre-colored and plated parts. The emblems on both sides of the engine are made of metal etched parts to give them a realistic texture.
- The dashboard is reproduced with plated parts and decals.
