Description:
Standing alongside Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis and Joe Sacco's Palestine, Nina Bunjevac's Fatherland renders the searing history of the Balkans in the twentieth century through the experiences of the author and her family. In 1975, fearing her husband's growing fanaticism, Nina Bunjevac's mother fled her marriage and adopted country of Canada, taking Nina-then only a toddler-and her older sister back to Yugoslavia to live with her parents. Her husband and Nina's father, Peter, was a die-hard Serbian nationalist who was forced to leave his country in the 1950s. Remaining in Canada, he became involved with a terrorist organization bent on overthrowing the Communist Yugoslav government and attacking its supporters in North America. Then in 1977, while his family was still in Yugoslovia, Peter was killed in an accidental explosion while building a bomb.
Through exquisite and haunting black-and-white art, Nina Bunjevac documents the immediate circumstances surrounding her father's death and provides a sweeping account of the former Yugoslovia under Fascism and Communism, telling an unforgettable true story of how the scars of history are borne by family and nation alike.

Compact & soft cap
Color: Dark Navy, Size: One Size
Great fall/winter hat if you’re looking for something that’s not too bulky. I wanted for a winter hat that I could just keep in my inside pocket of my winter jacket - problem was the pocket was not very big. I had another knit cap that just did not fit in there. The Danish Endurance beanie fits the bill! Being so thin, it is not my warmest beanie – but gets the job done! It also feels so soft. I bought another in a different color!
The hat arrived with a few creases in it. You could steam it, but don’t really notice any wrinkles when you put it on. I wish they made it in a darker gray/charcoal.

Soft but flimsy
Color: Dark Navy, Size: One Size
Its soft and warmth is ok, but it feels very thin and a bit flimsy. The knit at the top looks particulary fragile. I think for the price this is still ok value but I do not expected it to last a long time.

Cashmere but far too thin
Color: Dark Navy, Size: One Size, Color: Dark Navy, Size: One Size
The beanie feels soft and genuinely made of cashmere, but the fabric is surprisingly thin — almost transparent when held to the light. It lacks the warmth and structure you’d normally expect from a cashmere item.
The design and packaging are pleasant, but the overall impression is disappointing. It’s comfortable to touch yet too delicate to provide real protection against the cold.

Cool hat.
Color: Dark Navy, Size: One Size
This is a nice little hat. Even though it’s really thin, it does seem to keep my head warm. Really haven’t tried it out in the wind yet. But saying that you could put another hat on top of it.
