  • In order to reduce polypharmacy and implement rational pharmacotherapy, as well as to develop effective mechanisms of continuous professional education, a two-day training seminar was held in Borjomi by the Union of medical associations. More than 20 family doctors from all regions of Georgia attended the training. Rational pharmacotherapy training was carried out in accordance with the accredited training program.

  • A lecture on “Tuberculosis – a centuries-old infectious disease” was held with the organization of the Union of medical associations and the support of the Association of Pulmonologists of Georgia, the webinar was led by Nellie Solomonia, a lecturer of Tbilisi State Medical University, an expert of the Association of Pulmonologists of Georgia.

  • A training was held in Batumi entitled “Clinical pharmacology and current issues of rational pharmacotherapy”. The training was held under the auspices and organization of the Union of Medical Associations of Georgia, Tbilisi State Medical University Institute of Post-Diploma Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development, and A. Kobaladze Union for the Promotion of Clinical Pharmacology and Rational Pharmacotherapy – ‘’First no-harm’’

  • Participation in criteria-based clinical audit training sponsored by Curatio International Foundation with the support of the United Nations Development Fund
  • A joint initiative of the Union of Medical Associations of Georgia and the United Nations Children’s Fund – to provide healthcare representatives with the latest information about the vaccination of covid-19 and immunization in general. During the project from February to September of 2022, doctors from nine regions of Georgia received information on evidence-based clinical aspects of vaccination (including the Covid-19 vaccine) and received training in interpersonal communication skills and approaches.
